Random Thoughts of the Day

* My son said his first word "ten" this week and I've been a mess ever since
* This Recessionista thing is taking its toll

* Need a mani

* Can't figure out what happened to the trash can in Twitter's DM

* Photoshop is not too bad, I'm kinda figuring it out

* Must stop wasting so much time on details!

Etsy Find

Found this a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e shirt for my son's 2nd birthday. I can always count on Etsy to find something original, Chic and affordable. This particular item is from SuperSweetCreations who offers a variety of handcrafted items made with uniqueness and style in mind.

I've caught the Etsy bug myself, so stayed tuned for ChicPod, a place all things Chic.

Happy Friday!

I just got Lucky!

One of my favorite magazines has come out with an iPhone app. Basic idea behind this app is to tie merchandise featured in the magazine to a rich mobile user experience that allows people to browse and find products in local retail stores.

Taking shopping to a whole new level.

Best of all its FREE.

Check it out in the iTunes store.

Forget being the President........

Most people would aspire to be the President, maybe even First Lady. Not me. Desiree Rogers seems to have my dream job, White House Social Secretary. Could you just imagine being party planner to President Obama? I'm sure it doesn't get better than that.

Must say Desiree seems to be the total package. Not only does she hold a Harvard MBA but she has fashion savvy. Looking picture perfect almost everywhere photographed. The February issue of Vogue profiles her nicely. In the article, she discusses her new job description and what kind of parties we might expect. She also hints on the possibility of instituting an Internet lottery to become a guest at a White House event.

Could you imagine??

My Iphone becoming my Beauty advisor

Ok HP, you're making me smile again. So, I'm reading my February issue of O (O for Oprah Magazine my BFF in my head), and came across an article called A Mobile Makeup Matcher. Apparently, HP has created a technology that is allowing you to simply take a snapshot of yourself with your mobile phone (for me that would be iPhone of course), send it to a virtual beauty adviser and waahhlaa you get a text message back with your best foundation shade. As per the HP website, the system locates the person's face within the image and color-corrects the image for camera and lighting discrepancies.

Seriously, is technology just getting better and better for us beauty buffs?

Next, can you turn my iPhone into a flat iron?
